The special focus of this issue is on DRM and accessibility, an important topic not only for blind, partially sighted and other print disabled people. Three articles complementing one another explore the technical, legal, and policy dimensions of accessibility and present the state of the art. Further articles deal with a layered architecture for DRM, DRM in Japan's digital broadcasting services, and Sony BMG's DRM in the light of the class actions filed against the company.
